Daniel Durant is an American actor. He is known for his roles on the show Switched at Birth and in the film CODA.

He was born in Detroit, and raised in Duluth, Minnesota. He was adopted by his paternal aunt Lori Durant, and later her wife Mary Engels.

Daniel’s grandfather likely was Donald Stephen Durant (the son of Leonard Joseph Durant and Ida). Donald’s parents were French-Canadian, his father from Amherst, Nova Scotia and his mother from Newfoundland.

Daniel’s grandmother likely was Jeannine E. M. Wesley (the daughter of Alvin E. Wesley and Germaine/Jermaine J. Bertheaume). Alvin was the son of Edward G. Wesley and Amanda A. Mousseau, who was Canadian. Germaine was born in Canada, the daughter of Joseph Oscar Berthiaume and Gracia/Gratia/Grace Marion.
