Aaron Rodgers is regarded as one of the most experienced and talented players in the NFL currently, but this was not the case always. When the young QB was a rookie there was another legend in the Packers called Brett Favre. On Bussin with the boys, David Bakhtiari who also plays for the Packers revealed the prank that Favre pulled on Rodgers.

It’s a tradition in NFL to prank young players to make them feel welcome in the team. Recently, the Chiefs also pulled an amazing prank on their rookie WR as part of their tradition. On the podcast, David Bakhtiari and Robert Tonyan were also planning to pull a prank on their rookie and that reminded them of the amazing prank that Brett Favre pulled on Aaron Rodgers.

The prank is complicated but worth it. There are helmets placed in the locker rooms for players to sign to give to charity or other events. Brett Favre kept the then-rookie Aaron Rodgers helmet with the note ‘please sign’ and all the players signed that helmet. This led to Rodger’s wearing the signed helmet for the whole practice session while everyone had a good laugh.

David Bakhtiari and Robert Tonyan are looking forward to doing the same thing with the current rookies in the Packers team but not sure if it will be as effective as that was.

We can’t even imagine Aaron Rodgers getting pranked now because of the respect he holds in the dressing room, but the man pranking him was also a legend before him. Brett Favre was known for his pranks and his attitude, He always used to plan amazing pranks just to take some pressure off the team. That’s good leadership.

Now, Aaron Rodgers is in the same position as Brett Favre was when he arrived as a rookie and now the Packers QB has a responsibility to become a leader and inspire the future generation.

Currently, the Packers are preparing for their first game of the season against the Minnesota Vikings.
